Falcons  16.5 - 7.5  Eagles

Congratulations to the Falcons who were able to gain just there 2nd C.C.Cup in 8 years. This years renewal turned out to be a one sided encounter with outright victory virtually being secured before the normally nail biting singles .Infact the magical 13 figure was passed as early as match 2 in what was a consumate team display . This triumph was a much needed morale booster for many of the Falcons who had suffered numerous crushing defeats at the hands of the Eagles . The big question is , have we witnessed a shift in the balance of power , or will the return of seasoned campainer Kenny Graves & the capture of the highly regarded Paul Whiffin be enough for the Eagles to recapture this much coverted title ?

Rookie Peter Jordan was the modicome of consistancy throughout the week  and it was no surprise to see him lift the individual  title from the much improved Alex Gretton

After making a decent start to the week Dan Widdicks game would fall apart . His night on the town left him in tatters & he was certainly more apt at pulling  tee shots than he was the ladies of Grantham ! This embarressing display should be a lesson to all who are tempted to have just one more before they go to bed !

May the 2011 renewal be an  intense a battle but at the same time may we enjoy friendship and much good banter during C.C.Cup 9
