Eagles Vs Falcons

 

 The Costwold Connections Cup was the brain child of Chris Hands. After returning from foreign climbs as a missionary back in the winter of 2002 Handsy, as he is affectionately known had plenty of time to spare. During a chance meeting with Steve Berryman it was suggested that a most enjoyable way to spend an afternoon when you should be working was on the golf course.

 

After spreading the Gospel of Christ in Kosavo he was soon spreading the Gospel of golf to those who attended Chipping Campden Baptist Church. It didn't take him long to win converts as golf mania was spreading fast!

 

With the hunger for competition between Handsy and Berryman running rife the only thing to do was to create a tournament of their own. The result was the conception of the Cotswold Connextons Cup with Handsy captaining the Eagles and Stevie B the Falcons. During the summer of 2003 the inaugural Cotswold Connections Cup teed off with 16 eager competitors hungry to do battle.
